• Science experiment  Introduce terms- hydrophobic /hydrophilic 
•  Hydrophobic 
• Collect various kinds of sand - beach, kinetic, garden soil and mix with water in different containers.Ask your child what he/she sees. 
• Hydrophilic (water loving) - 
  
• Fill a container with water. Pour a 2 tablepoons of oil- mix
• Ask child what he/she sees
• Then pour a few drops of food colouring 
• What happens? (water mixes with the colouring but not the oil)
